Step 4
:

Your child is potty-trained. You must be so proud!

Ready for the next step?
  • My child can go without a diaper during the day.
  • My child lets me know in advance when he or she needs to go to the bathroom.
  • My child can go to the bathroom on their own and put on and take off their pants.
  • My child can wipe their own bottom and wash their hands.
  • My child has no more than two accidents a week.
  • My little one can go without a diaper for a little while when we're out and about or in the car.
  • My child uses the toilet just fine in other places.
  • I check a few times a day to see if my baby needs to poop or pee.

Not quite there yet? No problem: keep practicing and encourage your child. Every attempt counts, and every small success is a step forward.

Right? Then you're ready for the next step:
Yes! Your child is potty-trained. Check out the poster: "Yay! I'm going to the bathroom!"
