To us as adults, this might seem strange, because for us, the bathroom is a very private place. But here’s the good news: your child wants to know what happens in there, behind that bathroom door. That’s the first step! If you’re okay with it, it can actually be a big help with potty training.
So always take your child with you when you go to the bathroom. Show them how (and maybe even what :) you flush, and what toilet paper is for. And that you’re not wearing a diaper, but underwear. Kids often really enjoy pressing the flush button. This way, they learn what the toilet is for in a fun way.
