More and more preschoolers are not potty trained at the start of elementary school. This leads to stress, workload, unnecessary waste and costs. The Ready for Potty offers municipalities a simple and effective approach. Together with the childcare center, nurseries and other parenting partners.
The Ready for Potty allows for cooperation between the consulting agency, child care and parents. Everyone gets the same information and approach. This prevents conflicting advice and gives parents clarity. This makes parents feel secure and helped.
And that delivers a lot: less waste, lower diaper costs, and less stress for parents and their little ones.
Starting on time can certainly save a quarter of diaper waste.
Families save up to €500 per year by switching from diapers sooner.
"The Ready for Potty team completely unburdened us in setting up the campaign, connecting with community partners and reaching parents.... we had bet on a few hundred families, it turned out to be over 1,000."
More and more municipalities are joining in, because potty training has an impact. On the environment, on your wallet, and on the child's development.
When children are not potty trained at the start of elementary school, it creates stress for child, teacher and parents. The Ready for Potty helps prevent this from happening. By starting on time and practicing together, a child comes into the classroom well prepared.
The counseling office is an important link in the success of the Ready for Potty. They reach all parents around the age when potty training starts. With the right timing and materials, they provide practical information and refer to local offerings.
Pedagogical staff members are close to parents. They see children's behavior and signs on a daily basis. The Ready for Potty helps discuss potty training without the extra work.
We help thousands of families get out of diapers on time every year with a broad network of partners.
More sustainable diaper use starts with timely potty training.
The municipality initiates the collaboration, but does not take over. The Ready for Potty is designed so that counseling agencies and shelters can implement it themselves. As a municipality, you bring parties together, provide the right preconditions, and then step back again.
We work with several municipalities and provinces in the context of the NPLV areas, promising start, waste reduction and circular economy.
Joint awareness: We unite well-baby clinics, childcare organizations and (district) teams. A clear message from all partners.
We distribute the training package for parents: including a pedagogically sound children's book, online videos and monthly Q&A Session.
Scientifically based, the training is reliable and proven. The material is constantly checked by the local Municipal Health Services, and developed with scientists, educators and parents.
Parents within your community will receive the Plasklasp package with the book, posters and access to the online training with the explainer videos for free.
With a handy self-test, parents can determine whether their child is ready for the potty (usually around the age of 2) and where to start in the program.
Potty training a child is a big step for parents. How proud they will be later when it has gone smoothly! And how nice if their child no longer needs diapers. This saves parents a lot of hassle, money and waste.
Many parents search hard for a good approach. After all, they would like to know how to help their child get out of diapers. The Ready for Potty is a training without time pressure or mandatory presents. Parents follow the child's lead.
What do you say to encourage your child? What do you do in case of an accident? How do you stay calm yourself?
Wegive parents many tips to keep exercise fun. So that it doesn't become a battle, but rather something parents do together with their child.
We are working since 2023 on timely potty training with the Ready for Potty among others in the municipalities of Rotterdam, Apeldoorn, Barendrecht, Hoeksche Waard, Voorst, Venray and 16 South Limburg municipalities. Already more than 5000 parents signed up! We did not reach those families alone, but together with the local childcare centers and more than 10 childcare organizations.
The municipality commissions the project, and we carry it out. The partner organizations mainly have a promotional role; we take the burden off their shoulders because we understand they're busy enough already.
We distinguish ourselves through our successful project-based approach, extensive experience with municipalities, and our thorough scientific foundation. This is how we create a lasting impact on multiple levels.
