Absolutely! It can even help your child become potty-trained faster. Talk to the other caregiver about how you’re approaching this and how far along your child is. Be clear about when the diaper should come off and when it shouldn’t. And how often your child practices using the potty or the toilet. Do you have any tips for the others? Share them. Ask the other caregivers to pay close attention to the signals from your child that you’re familiar with. Such as fidgeting, hiding, or stopping play when your child needs to go. Does your child visit the babysitter or grandparents’ home? Make sure there’s a potty, toilet seat reducer, and step stool there too. That way, your child can practice the same way they do at home. Maybe the other caregivers have tips for you too! Not working out with the others? No problem. Keep monitoring your child at home and practicing at your own pace.
